The Mentoring Institute at the University of New Mexico is pleased to announce the forthcoming 19th Annual Mentoring Conference. This five-day event will be held from Monday, October 19, through Friday, October 23, 2026, at the UNM Student Union Building in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
In 2025, the conference welcomed more than 500 mentoring scholars and practitioners. Eighty-six percent of attendees were from higher education institutions as faculty, staff, or students, while the remaining participants were professionals from the healthcare, government, nonprofit, and business sectors. This year, a new strategic partnership is expected to expand the conference’s reach and impact.
We warmly invite faculty, staff, students, researchers, K–12 educators, community leaders, administrators, nonprofit collaborators, government representatives, and other interested professionals to join us. The conference will feature three facilitated learning sessions, two pre-conference workshops, nine plenary sessions, one micro-credential post-conference workshop, and more than 150 individual and panel presentations —each designed to foster meaningful connections and shared learning.
Testimonial From the Mentoring Conference:
“I am writing to express my comments regarding the conference. It was absolutely outstanding! This year was my first time attending, and I really learned a lot and was able to communicate with colleagues throughout the country. Every aspect of the conference was very professional, organized, thorough, and effective. [...] You provided a perfect conference, perfect organization, and perfect location! I really appreciated being able to interact with, communicate, and learn from professionals from different disciplines. Thank you!”
