Summer Quarterly: Volume 8, Issue 2

The Mentoring Institute at The University of New Mexico brings to the mentoring community the inaugural Quarterly Summer Issue of The Chronicle of Mentoring and Coaching titled “Mentorship Supports in Academia: Models and Interventions.”

Volume 8 Number 2 contains 6 articles written by invited author-researchers, many of whom have presented their research at annual Mentoring Institute Conferences and have had their work published in Special Issues of the CMC. Additionally, two articles were submitted by author-researchers in the biomedical and health sciences fields, who collaborate with faculty in medical schools across multiple universities in their mentoring programs and outreach as engaged scholars. Three of the articles feature mentorships that involve capacity building of higher education students and faculty in research and writing, and empowering individuals who desire to disseminate their work in scholarly publications.

Additionally, this issue contains two book reviews on current, edited publications, which build upon themes found among the six articles. The reviews highlight the power in developmental mentorships for furthering inclusive practices and fostering supports for wellbeing in K-20 institutions.
